Impact Weapons Components products are made by Americans. The materials used to make our products are sourced from suppliers who actually manufacture them in the United States of America. This includes the 6061-T6 aluminum and Stainless Steel we machine into our products, to the Hex Keys we include with our mounts and our packaging suppliers.
All of the partners in IWC are life-long shooters and outdoorsmen. in 2009, one of our Partners was on the Pawnee National Grasslands east of Timnath, Colorado to do some shooting one morning and stumbled while hiking out to place a steel plate target, catching his finger on the Bolt-on MIL-Spec Rail section attaching the sling mount to the Magpul MOE Handguard on his SBR AR15. He thought about why a rail was on his AR15 in the first place. On the drive back home, as he looked at the mountain peaks against the prairie through the windshield in the distance, the idea for our brand direct attach mounts were born. A week or so later, he met with his friend, another life long shooter and avid outdoorsman who owns a successful machining and fabrication company and they discussed the concept for our mounts. We formed the business, filed provisional patents and the original product ideas were turned into prototypes. Next our firearms accessories and gun mounts were tested and refined and we've sold tens of thousands since then.
None of the Associates who are part of the IWC Team have worked for any other firearms accessories related company.
The Patented (Patent https://www.magpul.com/ip) M-LOK direct attachment system is extremely intuitive and easy to use. However, you can maximize your experience with it by reading this attached FAQ from Magpul.
